The Praiser Year Ends

The Girls take 3rd in Division AA.

My apologies for the blurry pics -- the lighting was horrible and the photographer was even worse!

The 2009 Seniors
We'll miss you!!!

Chelsea and mom, Sharon, enjoying the moment.

Johnathan and Mark wait around for the next event.
These two boys really kicked in at the end and made valuable plays and points for the team.

David and Erik -- have no clue what it's about

Celebrating the recent victory

David's Award

Brittany, Bethany, Christina, and Chelsea all received All Region Awards

Alicia and Chelsea with their "old" Praiser Friends.
Thanks so much for coming to cheer!!

Align Center
Coach Steve came for the year-end tournament and stayed both days.
He tried to remain a spectator but ended up on the bench.
It was great to have him and the girls with us.

What a great season! It's always sad to say good-bye to another year.

Although the boys did not place they sure muddied the waters!
They moved up to the top division and placed 6th out of 32 teams.
Unfortunately, we lost to what ended up being the championship team by 1 point in the last 6.4 seconds.

Congratulations!!

To my kids who never read this blog (well, almost never)
and
to Kristin Foster and Dixie Parriman (who might read, but probably not)...

I offer you my heartfelt congratulations on your first place achievements!!!!
(and just wanted to brag)

Yesterday the High School students left at the early hour of 6:45 AM to make their way to Louisville, Kentucky for competition.

The choir won first place and best of show(perform during the awards ceremony) - we were able to watch/see them live stream as they performed in front of a packed auditorium around 9:30 last night.
Kristin had them sing "Dem Bones" acappell0 -- it was amazing to hear! I was so proud of them!
(David - choir)

Brandon Klotz won first for classical piano and best of show.
We were able to see/hear him play.

Unfortunately we missed the band (David - tenor sax, Anthony - trumpet, Alicia - Alto Sax) which played at the beginning and won first place in both categories. Apparently they would have also had "best of show" but the schedule was way behind and so the crowd had already gathered for the award ceremony while they were still playing for competition.

Many of the other students received awards -- Katrin and Esther for piano duet, Katrin for violin, Travis Campbell in math...

THANK YOU Kristan and Dixie for working sooo hard. I know it doesn't just happen nor is it "all joy" most of the time. However, the hard work paid off and you wowed us!!

Congrats!

The Skiers Return

Collages David put together.

I like this picture of David - yes, he is sunburnt!

Looks like the bagpipe guy and David became friends.

Classic Anthony! He will do anything to keep from having his face in a picture!!
And yes, his face is in the snow!

Cool pictures of their sightseeing in the Arches National Park, Utah.

Too tight of a squeeze for me!! The tour guides actually ask if everybody will be able to get through the tight spaces, cracks, crevices, they travel through.

This tree is OLD -- live over 1,000 years old. It has an amazing story but David's not here to retell it to me.

My boys are amazing! Look what they can do -- oops David's hand is just a little off.

One of the trails -- they were doing Double Diamonds Extreme -- glad I didn't see it!!

For more pictures visit David's FB or Meredith Moser's FB.

WONDERFUL WEATHER

Can't help it -- gotta comment!

Dear Father,

Thank you for sunshine.
Thank you for warm temperatures.
Thank you for the signs of spring all around us - the birds with their song in the morning
- the tulips poking their heads through the earth
- the sun shining on my face as I awake
- the leaf buds on the tree in the front yard

I love fall and I love spring!! The hope of spring gets me through the winter. The seasons are a wonderful "God thing."

MMM, MMM, MMM, MMM, Mmmmm -- (you have to put the right accent on all of those for it to come out right!) Wonderful, wonderful spring...

Can you tell -- I'm lovin' it!

I have been learning so many things. I love school -- the teaching aspect, the student aspect -- incredible blessings, incredible amounts of work...which reminds me...there's more reading that needs to be done, more papers that need written (or graded) depending on which "hat" I am wearing, more... you get my point...I'm tired. Good night.
